Glen Rice Jr. Arrested for Robbery

Former Georgia Tech basketball player Glen Rice Jr. has encountered additional legal trouble. Rice was arrested and taken to the DeKalb County jail on July 25, for felony robbery and aggravated battery. He was also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

The arrest was first reported by TMZ. According to TMZ Sports:


Rice was booked at 6:37 AM this morning for felony robbery, aggravated battery and possession of marijuana. He has since been released from custody.

The details surrounding the incident are unclear.

Rice just completed a pre-trial intervention program stemming from the 2015 shooting incident.


Last October, he was charged with reckless conduct and possessions of marijuana (240 grams) after he wass shot in the leg in a scuffle at a downtown Atlanta restaurant. He was dismissed from Georgia Tech in 2012 after being charged with permitting unlawful operation of a vehicle.

Rice Jr. played 16 games for the Washington Wizards from 2013-2015, and was released by the Wizards in January 2015.
